Awesome morning hike with the highlight of some of the giant squirrels of lonavala before heading back to the city and rejoining the ship. Got a little quick half day tour of Mumbai as well on the way to the ship. Hot, but really a lovely time in nature after a couple hectic days. Hopefully nice and recharging for the whole fam.

Morning
Woke up and got a nice little view from the porch for a little bit as we all woke up.

Hike
Went out to go through the loop again, and started behind Nate for a bit, but he went off pretty quickly while I stopped to photograph and smell the roses.

Giant Squirrels
Pretty early on, I was just stopping and listening to the forest and the breeze when I heard some rustling, and to my enjoyment, there were a couple of the giant squirrels having a morning snack. Pretty cool and really a treat to find them after I couldn’t find any yesterday.

Other Critters
Also a bunch of other critters as well, some tiny insects that I noticed cause I was taking my time and enjoying my walk.

Also more birdlife which was pretty active during the morning hike.

Breakfast
Got some great fruit and all we could eat at the breakfast buffet (but was still pretty full from yesterday as well). Got some amazing watermelon juice though.
The one shocking thing was that when I went to go eat my cereal, I poured milk into my cereal to find that it was hot milk and that they only had cold milk if you asked for it in the back…apparently they eat it more like an oatmeal and have it warm instead of cold (but it feels more soggy like that).

Family Photoshoot
Had a nice little photoshoot with their logo before we left as well.

Alphonso Mango!
On the way to the resort, Priya had stopped by a roadside stand and bought some alphonso mangos for us, but because we couldn’t have knives on property, they wouldn’t let us cut our own fruit. Before we left, they cut it up for us and we got to eat a bunch of mango and it was SO delicious.

Open Air Laundry Market
We stopped on the way back at the laundry market to get a view of how they do their laundry service. Pretty neat to see everything all color coordinated and drying neatly and organized.
Lots of big birds as well hovering around waiting for some food.

Return to Ship
As we got back to the ship, we saw a family of bears in the window greeting us back to the ship. Always good to be “welcomed home”.

Food
Mostly went to dinner to catch up with our dining staff, but got a quick caesar salad to get a little bit of green amongst all the breads I had consumed as well.

Vibe Check
Awesome side trip, couldn’t have asked for better, and have so much more of India to explore and come back to see!
5 parts joy
