Lotso Garden Cafe

Last meal at the Garden Cafe. Lotso’s came out to enjoy their environment and get a meal. Truly a special experience to be in the Toy Story hotel with Lotsos.

Disneysea

Entry Plaza

Little different on round 2 as the rain was gone from a couple days ago and we had a bright and sunny day. Lots more people as well.

Chip and Dale

Immediately saw a bunch of characters so we headed over. I was fascinated by a girl there playing with Chip and Dale with Chip and Dale hand puppets. So cute…to be fair I think I would do the same if I saw a Lotso.

Flowers

Some really pretty displays in the plaza that we could enjoy now that it was nicer outside too.

Toy Story Land

We headed over and used our first Fast Passes for Midway Mania cause…why not. Lots more people here today.

As we were leaving, I noticed a really sad sight…a popped Mickey balloon. Very sad for that person. We headed on and continued after the brief stop in the land.

Where Are You Toulouse???

Stopped for a bathroom break and as we came out, Toulouse and Berlioz were strolling down the street. They’re very cute and were playing with each other as well.

Center of the Earth

Headed over to Center of the Earth as we saw it erupt a couple of times…pretty neat area that is so cool and unique.

Arabian Nights (or Days)?

Headed over to the Arabian section and rode the multi story merry go round (all the genies were taken and we didn’t get a carpet on the bottom floor), then headed for the magic / comedy show which was pretty hilarious but also….all in Japanese 🤣. Pretty fun section.

Parade

I headed out of the park, splitting up from Nate and mom since I needed to keep chipping away at finishing taxes. On the way out, the parade started so I stopped to snag a few photos and enjoy. They are opening the new section in about 50 days and promoting it with these parades to get people amped up.

Disney Ambassador Hotel

Checked in and explored our room for a bit. Lots of stitch everywhere which was super cute. I stopped for a bit to catch up on some taxes before heading back into the park to meet Nate. Mom came back for rest and a nap (and shopping maybe).

Food

Grabbed some food at the Cafe in the Center of the Earth. Delicious ramen, dim sum and almond pudding. Then we very smartly rode Journey to the Center of the Earth again. Always nice to ride around sunset as you come out, you get a brief glimpse of the park all lit up in golden hour and the soft light.

Turtle Talk

We finished the night on the way out by heading to Turtle Talk. It was themed differently and the pre show is really neat. The actual show they wouldn’t let us video but it was all in Japanese so we weren’t sure what was happening and had a couple mild panic attacks when they tried to put us in the front row with our FastPast then later when they started walking toward us for questions only to stop and ask the people sitting in front of us. Still a really cute show.

Lotso!!

We stopped at Toy Story one last time on the way out cause Nate wanted his own super soft Lotso and he got to pick out and buy his very own Lotso (he has a couple others I’ve given him as gifts, but this is the first he’s bought for himself). No joke, these Lotsos are so fuzzy and soft.

Late Night 😦

Unfortunately, it’s also April 15th, so I had to finish my taxes. We grabbed a little bit of convenience store food, and I ate quick then had to squat to finish the taxes while Nate and mom slept. I ended up heading out to the little garden area to do work in silence which was kind of nice.

Was finishing up the taxes, when it turned out that with one specific form I had to fill out, there was no e-filing that form for Minnesota, so I would have to print EVERYTHING out and file it all by paper…which is a problem when you’re traveling. Went to the lobby and asked if there was a business center, but they unfortunately didn’t have one (I guess no one does work at Disney ;)). Finally worked out a solution after about an hour of mulling and figuring out what to do. So complicated…

Finally finished around 3AM, and since we had to wake up at 4:30 for the shuttle to get back to the ship anyway, I decided it wasn’t worth sleeping for an hour and a half.

Walked around the hotel instead and just enjoyed taking some photos. I really is a lovely hotel.

Vibe Check

3 parts joy

2 parts disgust — why are US taxes so complicated to file…
