Facebook being Annoying
Woke up to find that the post I had set to load overnight hadn’t finished, and in fact was marked as spam (for whatever reason). I hit the “dispute / review” button, and then about 15 seconds later, got a notification that another of my posts from 2 months ago was now also marked as spam, then another 15 seconds, and another post.
After trying to dispute them for a bit, and trying to figure out where my pictures and posts had gone, discovered that Facebook can just randomly delete stuff from your account and you have literally no recourse to get them back (not that I don’t have them all myself, but I’m not going to go back and re-post stuff that’s been mysteriously taken down).
My only guess is that while we were in and out of Chinese waters, Facebook did something weird and just assumed we were all bots with the super spotty and slow wifi. I’m annoyed, but also don’t particularly care, cause I don’t really care about platforms, which is why I post on my own blog and pics on the photo gallery (where I have sole control over stuff).
Heading into Town
Instead of paying for the bus, we decided to just walk, since there was a nice long trail and I saw a couple people in the morning running it, we thought we’d take our time and walk to town. Found a lovely little park and some great views as we headed into town.

Snacks
After wandering through some shops, we went into a convenience store to grab a few snacks and take a quick break. Love the convenience of convenience stores in asia and how good the food actually is (and cheap). Afterwards, we continued on, and wandered down a couple other streets to see what was around. It was a pretty small town, and lots of places were closed, so not a ton to do.

Lunch – Japanese BBQ
We eventually stumbled upon some Japanese BBQ and it was open, and took credit cards, so we headed in. When we got inside, we found that we were the only ones in the restaurant which was kinda nice. We took off our shoes and got into our little private area and found an ipad which we could order with.

We started to think about individual dishes, then found a package where we could just go with the chef’s choice. Since we’re lazy, it was easier to just let them pick for us.
The food was SO good. You can tell from the pictures just how great the marbling was in the meat, and it was freaking delicious. Nice surprise and fun find as we searched through Ishigaki.

Ishigaki City Public Market
Kept wandering and stumbled into the public market which was pretty small, and we wandered into a couple shops. I found a shaved ice cart, so of course I had to get one. Lots of mango, and it was quite delicious and refreshing in the hot sun.

Back to Ship
We were pretty much done with the city at this point, so we headed back to the ship, stopping by the park on the way back to take in some of the views.

Got back to the ship, and briefly contemplated going back out for a quick run, but decided that I would be better served catching up on some rest.
Dinner
Didn’t go nuts at dinner, and just had some fried fish which was delicious.

Entertainment
After dinner, we squatted in a room and watched some streaming shows while catching up on stuff. I also decided to do one of the puzzles, so threw one together pretty quickly. It’s so cute.

Vibe Check
2 parts joy
3 parts anger (at Facebook)
