Chill, laidback private tour with Picture Me Sydney down to the south along the Kiama Coast. Awesome day of views, and even got to see a small pod of dolphins and had some amazing food.

Morning Start
Sometime in the night, I got up to pee, and didn’t realize that there was a whole 2 inches to get into the bathroom. I stubbed my toe, and somehow must’ve hit one of the tiles and sliced open the bottom of my foot. So of course, I had to both stop the bleeding and then try not to get blood all over everything (went back to sleep with my foot hanging over the edge of the bed just in case).
When I woke up, I walked over to the mall to one of the convenience stores to get some bandaids for my foot. Just so annoying and such an inconvenience.
Got to the meet up location a little early to get out of the city and traffic so we could spend more time out looking at stuff and less time in traffic.
Was about an hour early, so stopped at a nearby cafe and got a nice breakfast croissant and chai to start the day.

Tour
Another pretty full day of sights.

Park Overlook
First stop, we did a quick 15 minute walk down the trail and got to see the coast from above. Even saw a black cockatoo, which apparently has special significance and meaning to the Australians.

Bald Hill Overlook
Stopped at Bald Hill and got to observe some of the hang gliding that was being done. Looked like a lot of fun and a beautiful day for it!

** Videos will be added later **
Coastal Overlook
Next, we stopped at another overlook point and saw some splashing immediately (originally thought it might’ve been some sharks eating tuna). Fun dolphins jumping in and out of the water, and the water was so clear, we could see them underneath even from our distance.

Did a quick walk down the coast, and saw the nice coast that way with the low tide as well.

Lunch – Stacks
Next, we stopped at a local cafe called Stacks, and I kid you not, had one of the biggest burger’s I’ve had before, and it was delicious (throw an egg on top of any burger and you’ll win my heart anyway).

Kiama Blowhole and Lighthouse
Last stop of the day was at the Kiama Blowhole, and I walked around a bit just taking in the crashing waves over the shoreline, and the blowhole. Pretty nice day (although it was definitely getting hot). Saw someone dressed up and posing for photos, and I got one from really far away. I personally think he’s doing a Palpatine Force Lightning pose.

Humans. The Worst.
Ugh.

Dinner at Chinatown
After the tour, I got dropped off at my new AirBnB, and then took the train over to Chinatown to meet up with Mom and Nate for dinner. Got to walk through Chinatown for a bit while waiting for them, and ended up walking into a Starbucks to get my starbucks mugs and a new friend (to be introduced later).
Dinner was really nice, always good to catch up, but the food was delicious. Although, I will say, the ongoing debate between me and Nate (recently) has been how to prepare the Gai Lan (Chinese Broccoli). Nate is on Team Garlic and I am firmly on Team Oyster Sauce.

Took the train back to the AirBnB after for some much needed rest.
Vibe Check
4 parts joy
1 part sadness – my poor foot
