UWC Day 074 – Cruising Day – Catching Up in More Ways than one

Day of catching up on rest, pictures and the itinerary changes for Africa.

Morning Webinar

Slept in, and rolled out of bed to go to the webinar for some people watching and to see what was going on with the Africa re-route.

Really interesting webinar, and really glad they didn’t take live Q&A (as entertaining as that would’ve been for my people watching. Big takeaways (for me), were the following.

  1. Royal is going to keep us safe, no matter where we are and what changes happen both now and any in the future.
  2. Royal is being super generous to try to really make this as good as possible given the circumstances (yellow fever vaccines will be provided for anyone that needs them, RC is covering the cost, malaria meds will be available, visas will be taken care of with guests, etc.)
  3. Some people will find anything to complain about / be grumpy

Voting opened up, and I already did my duty.

I thought briefly about being even more of a troll, and find a picture of an old “I Voted” button to print out, but it was too much effort at the end of the day.

Photo Editing

Started the process of going through all the Maui photos, and got through 3 of the days. Mostly sat out at the back of windjammer with the wind.

Sports

Watched the US Women’s National Team play their Gold Cup group match with Dominican Republic, and thoroughly enjoyed the game. Giving the new faces some playing time instead of just the same old. What a breath of fresh air.

Food

Wasn’t feeling great (I think the humidity and lack of sleep were getting to me), so I just did a caesar with chicken and found that they had orange sorbet, so I added a scoop of vanilla and made my own dreamsicle. Delicious

Entertainment

After dinner we headed to my stateroom to watch a little bit of Taskmaster New Zealand, before calling it early to go to sleep.
